George Stuckey argued that the Kansas City Chiefs defense is overrated and remains vulnerable to passing attacks, which could be exploited by the Houston Texans. Stuckey pointed out that while the Chiefs defense has appeared strong statistically, they've benefited from facing teams with significant injuries, particularly at quarterback and offensive line positions. He cited examples such as playing against the Bengals without Tee Higgins, the Falcons losing two starting offensive linemen, the 49ers losing all their skill players, and other teams with injured key players like Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and David Njoku. Stuckey emphasized that the Chiefs pass defense hasn't been truly tested by a fully healthy and competent passing offense. He also noted that the return of cornerback Jaylen Watson is helpful but not transformative, as the Chiefs secondary still has weaknesses. Stuckey suggested that Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud could find opportunities in the passing game, provided he can handle the pressure and utilize weapons like tight end Dalton Schultz and wide receiver Nico Collins.
